The Director of Case Management maintains responsibility for the Case Management Program. In this highly visible role the Director of Case Management oversees and is responsible for the provisions of clinical Case Management and Social Services ; providing clinical support to the revenue cycle, coordinating services of contracted vendors, IOI outcomes, Case Management throughput measures, communication with medical staff, patients, families, organizational leaders and community resources. Mentor managers and departmental personnel. In addition the Director is responsible for developing new Case Management initiatives that will enhance hospital performance.
Requires a current CA RN license without restrictions. Current certification in Case Management from either the CMSA or ACMA required. Bachelor's or Master's degree in healthcare related field preferred. Candidates demonstrating through prior employment history and course work consistent progressive leadership role responsibilities, fiduciary accountability and evidence of consistently exceeding departmental and/or business unit performance and financial objectives will be strongly considered. requires a minimum of ten years of clinical experience in an acute care hospital. Requires ten years of experience in quality, utilization and case management. Must show evidence of progressive responsibilities and accountabilities in leadership roles.
An ideal candidate will have at least 10 years experience in case management. Will have at least 5 years experience in a management or director level in Case management. Will also have experience working in a unionized environment. An ideal candidate will also have certification in case management as well as experience in Lean Six Sigma. an RN license is a must, preferrably licensed in California.
