•130 bed acute-care hospital located outside of San Francisco and not far from the Wine Country is seeking to hire a Clinical Practice Manager/NP - Cardiology/Endocrine

Complete Description:
Graduate of an accredited BSN nursing program with a Master of Science in Nursing degree, major in the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. Current California RN license and current California licensure as a Nurse Practitioner required. Current BLS and ACLS certification required. Five (5) years critical care experience, including preoperative and postoperative care of percutaneous coronary intervention patients and inpatient management of endocrine disorders required. Certification by the American Nurse Credentialing Center as an ACNP or the American Association of Critical Care (AACN) preferred. Demonstrates clear credentials check through the AHP process. Current Furnishing Number for medications and current DEA license for schedule 2 drugs and above must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
Demonstrates ability to evaluate patient's physical and emotional status. Demonstrates ability to provide patient care based on age-related needs. Demonstrates current knowledge and skill in providing appropriate care for patients in the following age groups: Adult, and Geriatric. Demonstrates ability to clearly set behavioral limits. Excellent communication skills with patients, professional staff, and support staff.
Duties include but are not limited to the following: establishing clinical performance criteria and contributing to the analysis and appraisal of staff performance results through assessment of clinical abilities; coordinating orientation for staff to new procedures and care standards; providing in-services; policy development; coordinating educational goal setting and participating in long-range educational planning; participating in quality improvement activities; and ensuring compliance with regulatory/accreditation standards. This position's role along with other members of the management team, is to promote the provision of effective, high quality patient care to all patients
This CPM/NP position is required to be acute care nurse practitioner (ACNP) and functions as a member of the multidisciplinary medical management team. The ACNP diagnoses medical conditions, plans and implements interventions, and evaluates patient responses under the direction of and in collaboration with a physician supervisor or designated attending physician.
In addition this position has administrative responsibilities as a member of the Patient Care Services Division and the cardiovascular service development team. The ACNP will also oversee the collection of data and statistics for reporting outcomes of the cardiac interventional program.
