Facilitates clients daily activities in residential component (wake-up; chore supervision; assists with meal service, assists with laundry and clean-up). Monitor and track activities of clients, provide support to clinical team. Responsibilities: Transports clients to and from necessary appointments when neededObserves and monitors clients behavior and intervenes based on schedule, individual clients treatment plan and house needsFacilitates assigned groups/meetings/activities per program scheduleDocuments observations / milieu interventions in client records (minimum of one entry per shift/groupCoordinates milieu treatment with counseling staff (via client record, staff communication, and counseling/residential interface meeting)Writes shift log (including check in and check out as well as a summary of the shift events)Provides transportation to and supervision of clients at community 12-step meetings per program scheduleTransports clients per supervisor's directives (for court, ancillary services, etc.) as neededEnsures transportation safety by conducting van inspections and following safety rulesEnsures client telephones are available (ringer on) during designated hoursSupervises self-administration of client of client medications (only after provided with appropriate training)Ensures physical plant safety and security by conducting regular house checks, fire drills, and disaster drills per policy and procedure in coordination with Operations departmentOrientation of new clients to house rulesConducts check-in to residence with new clients including search of items brought to facility and lock-up of contraband and medications / Complete Admission/Intake paperwork with incoming client when neededOne-on-one supervision of at-risk clients (ATA risk; suicidal ideation, etc.) per directive form Residential Supervisor or Program DirectorFollows emergency procedures exactly (including following paging protocol, following directives given exactly, transportation, etc.)ATA prevention; including one-on-one peer counseling, notification of assigned counselor and immediate notification (via in person or by paging) of Residential Manager and Therapist whenever a client talks about leaving the programSupports aftercare component by facilitating aftercare groups (when assigned); and conducting sober living house checks (when assigned)Conducts UA drug screen collection when directed, following appropriate proceduresAttend mandatory staff meetingsConduct a shift change at the end of every shiftConsistency with carrying out rules of the program as established by PromisesProfessional and compassionate interaction with clientsHave a general understanding and/or training in cultural diversity issues with clients.Must obtain a Class B license within first 90 days of employmentOVERNIGHT TECHNICIAN SHIFT ADDITIONAL DUTIES:Compile WLA and Malibu brochures per the supervision of the Office Manager/Residential ManagerAssemble blank client charts per the supervision of the Office ManagerBreakdown client charts of clients who have been discharged per the supervision of the Office ManagerFiling and other miscelaneous administrative work as assigned by the office managerQualifications:RAS, CAADAC, CAADE or equivalent certification strongly preferred or must be obtained based on the state requirements. Knowledge of the 12-step philosophy.Experience working in an office and/or healthcare environment preferred. Computer literate. Excellent communications and customer service skills. Must have a clean driving record and insurable by our insurance carrier. Must have a valid drivers license and current personal auto insurance.
