Are you a positive, person-centered individual? If so, we have a perfect job awaiting you. We are looking for an individual who can join our team in providing quality care support for younger adults and older with learning/physical disabilities. This community support person needs to possess skills in promoting independence and mental health recovery.
Responsibilities will include:
~Provide support, advocacy and information to individual
~Meet their personal care needs sensitively and appropriately to a high standard, including personal hygiene and preparing meals
~Manage and administer any prescribed medicine
~Assist individual with everyday skills and support them to access a range of community and centered based activities
~Enabling individual to achieve independence as far as possible in all areas of their life by providing appropriate information, opportunity, and support
This candidate must be able to use his/her initiative and work effectively with a team while promoting self-reliance. Hours are flexible including some evening and weekend shifts, training is provided and own transportation is required.
