Thai translator job in Venice, CA ZeroChaos, Inc. is recruiting for an entry-level temporary onsite position with fluency in Thai and in depth knowledge of culture to help with Quality Evaluation for websites for a leading search engine company in the Venice, CA area.Pay- $20 non-negotiableAs a Quality Evaluator, you will join a multilingual team at our client to help improve the accuracy/relevancy of the ads that are placed with search results and on websites.Responsibilities:Responsible for reporting and tracking the visual quality and content accuracy of web advertisements.Utilize an online tool to examine advertising related data of different kinds and provide feedback and analysis.Projects worked on may involve examining and analyzing text, web pages, images, and other kinds of information.You will need an in depth and up to date familiarity with the web culture and media of Thai speaking countries. Additionally, you will apply this knowledge to a broad range of interests and topics.Please be aware that up to 5% of the tasks may involve sexual or violent adult content and you may not opt out of those but you can choose when to work on them.Evaluate ads and flag areas of concern.Ensure client’s advertising policies and standards are upheld.Work with linguists, engineering teams, and tools to improve our advertising quality.Work schedule:This is a full-time 40-hour week position ONSITE with a Monday-Friday schedule. Assignment length: This is a 365-day maximum assignment, but can be ended sooner by ZeroChaos or the employee. RequirementsQualifications:Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experienceThe ability to comprehend newspaper level text quickly in Thai without consulting a dictionary.Recent experience living abroad in Thailand. A year total within the past 8 years is preferred, or shorter, frequent trips in recent years.Ability to interpret both the content and tone of colloquialisms, regionalisms, and other subtleties specific to the Thai language. Detect when advertising language sounds funny, awkward, or unnatural, even if grammatically correct.Extensive experience (as a user/consumer) of the internet and print culture of ThailandExtensive out of classroom experience with the language, media, and culture of ThailandExcellent analytic abilities.College level fluency in reading/writing English.Valid Work Authorization.
