  • Position:  Director of IT & Digital ProductsLocation: Culver City, CADuration: 9 Months ContractRate   : Negotiable Job Description:The Director of Technology function has the mandate to direct and lead all digital vendors. DT will manage and maintain a relationship between internal and external digital Vendors, stakeholders, and the business, and to increase the value realized from Digital Vendor assets, investments, and capabilities. Candidate must have deep business background as well as a broad technology background. They should be forward thinking, collaborative, strategic and passionate about the evolving TV industry ‘big picture’. Ideal candidate will be able to handle conflict with ease and poise. The Director of Technology will be responsible for platform migration, its direction, management and execution to ensure digital environment is integrated in a seamless manner with a focus on maximizing business availability. DT is responsible for understanding the business needs, accountable for leading and prioritizing the demand (site maintenance, enhancements, development projects, change requests, transition, loyalty integration, games) ensuring digital solutions and services meet business and consumer/viewer needs Responsibilities:·         Lead and direct digital agencies that manage day-to-day operations of site. Includes management of retainer.·         Support and manage the business relationship between digital vendors/ agencies (and Digital Agency of Record- DAOR) and internal and external partners (SPE: InfoSec, Corporate Procurement, IST, SPT Mobile and Games group, Legal) to drive viewer/user satisfaction for SPT’s Wheel of Fortune; establish processes to ensure that vendors provide quality service.·         Lead and guide the user experience agency to deliver best in class UX/UI for and WWC mobile applications. Requirements:·         Bachelor's degree in Business and computer science field preferred, and 8 years of equivalent experience (MBA a plus)·         Strong business acumen and working knowledge in finance, planning, forecasting in order to facilitate business needs.·         8 years of experience in analysis of business processes and business case development to support digital solutions.·         Experience with gap analysis and build vs. buy assessment.·         Solid track record in delivering large-scale/consumer-facing web and mobile applications.·         Expertise of IT practices and systems; PI, large amounts of data (11+ million database members), CMS, site migration, hosting services—and bandwidth for UGC CDN, systems, CRM Technical (email).·         8+ years’ experience contributing to the development and execution of (new) concepts, techniques/methods, and standards.·         Experience in transition management.·         Knowledge of entertainment (TV). Skills/ Abilities Required:·         Proven history of leadership skills a must. Must demonstrate ability to lead and direct people, assignments and initiatives.·         Demonstrated management skills, including project planning, budgeting, and valuing IT/ digital investments.·         Solid track record of directing and managing technology projects and budgets.·         Superior interpersonal and written and verbal communication, analytical and strong problem-solving skills; ability to recognize and articulate complex ideas and problems in clear, logical terms, and persuade others to understand. Candidate must document processes, overviews, summaries.·         Must possess organizational proficiencies to manage simultaneous deliverables effectively and work with excellent follow-through on detailed tasks.·         Highly motivated, proactive, self-starting, committed to achieving results, and having a strong sense of ownership and follow-through to resolution.·         Ability to understand technically complex issues and put in simple terms for different lines of business.·         Ability to collaborate, work effectively in a team, with stakeholders and decision-makers both internally and externally; demonstrate a positive attitude.·         Superior experience using Word, Excel and PowerPoint to generate process flow diagrams and/or technical process flows, and operations documents.If interested, please send your profiles at [email removed] and we will call you right back to discuss further.
