Job Title: Storage System EngineerLocation: Woodland Hills, CAType of Hire: Fulltime Job Description● Management and maintenance of a mid-sized converged network of Storage Area Network switches and arrays.● Assists in setting technical direction for architecture of storage and server technologies.● Maintains and provisions storage volumes in production and replicas in disaster recovery site.● Automate routine tasks and reports on storage capacity, anticipated growth, and storage health.● Sets up and maintains alternate data processing sites and work-arounds during outage situations.● Develops documentation, user manuals, and policy and procedure information for storage/systems/applications architecture.● Create a strategy plans for deployments, define structure for production/DR environments.● Report to management daily on project status, deployment results and daily operations.● Provides technical assistance to technical services, development staff, project consultants, and support personnel in other departments.● Racking and cabling server and networking hardware.● Setup and maintain Windows Server 2012 R2.● Participate in a 24x7 on call rotation. Essential Skills● Advanced experience in configuration, management and replication of enterprise storage products. (HP 3Par required)● Configuring alerts on industry standard network monitoring systems. (Nagios preferred)● Advanced knowledge of storage; disk, speed, RAID, I/O’s.● Previous storage architecture project experience.● Advanced virtual machine administration. (VMWare preferred)● Knowledge of Network infrastructure, protocols. (LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, FCoE, etc.)● Working knowledge of Atlassian products. (JIRA, Confluence, etc.) Qualifications● 5+ Years of Experience● Bachelor’s Degree or Certification with work experience in related field● Ability to work independently and as a team player● Occasionally Travel – Downtown Los Angeles and Las Vegas.● Good communications and written skills (experience in writing procedures)
