Well-established/reputable San Fernando Valley-based healthcare provider is seeking an experienced SQL Developer/Programmer Analyst. This is a 6-12 month Contract position.*LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY*POSITION SUMMARY:SQL Developer/Data Analyst is responsible for the scoping, development, and maintenance of various technical solutions required in the management of data/reporting and decision-making tools used throughout the organization. This position will seek to streamline and create reporting efficiencies within the organization through the use of various systems, software applications and web-based opportunities. Microsoft applications; SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and Visual Basic will be heavily used.EXPERIENCE & TRAINING: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent required.Minimum of 2 years of healthcare experience in a technical programming capacity.Experience with MS SQL/SQL Server 2005, 2008 required.Ability to use SQL, SSRS and SSIS development tools to create automated reporting solutions.Must have in-depth knowledge of accepted best practices for data mining and analytics.Experience with desktop programming languages such as Microsoft Visual Basic; web-based applications and portal development (ASP/Cold Fusion); Microsoft Office Certifications strongly preferred. Strong trouble-shooting techniques and able to document processes and maintain confidentiality and integrity of data.Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills.Willing to support and assist members across all development initiatives.Knowledge of business functions to work independently and communicate effectively with other employees in both technical and non-technical roles (e.g. Business Analysts, Developers and QA team).Team player seeking to achieve continued enhancement and improvement of operating results.Able to handle multiple assignments and conflicting priorities, adapting to changes quickly.Able to learn new concepts, systems, and software independently and quickly.
