Fabulous condition for vintage pieces.
Originally purchased in the mid-50s by family of seller.
Manufacturer: "Distinctive Furniture by Stanley" (made in USA)
Retailer tag on inside door of low chest: Peltier Furniture Co. (Kenosha, WI)
Combination of walnut hardwood and veneers.
Drawers are dovetailed.
Hardware pulls are brass.
Set includes:
Dresser w/ six drawers (brackets on back for attaching mirror).
Mirror (original hangers and brackets for attaching to dresser).
Tall Chest w/ five drawers.
Low Chest w/ three drawers + cabinet w/ two sliding shelves.
Full-size Bed Frame w/ bookcase headboard + two sliding backrests, inlay footboard, metal side rails and wooden cross-slats.
The only thing missing are the original supports (which slip into the brackets) for attaching the mirror to the dresser, but buyer can purchase replacements at most hardware stores.
There are very few dings and scratches. All are very minor considering the age of the furniture, and can easily be hidden with a scratch cover product or wax furniture crayon. The majority of these are on the bookcase headboard.
