Aerospace company seeks for Process Equipment Operator for the 2nd shift.
Utilize various processing equipment to machine finish surfaces and surface treat metal components during fabrication process.
Plan for machine finishing of metal component surfaces to specification by determining correct number of parts, and amount and type of abrasives, compounds and liquids, and by selecting appropriate equipment to use. Maintain appropriate abrasive medium in machine and set machine timer for proper cycle run following shop procedure. Operate blast cabinet, rotating blast or deburr machines, or vibrating or simple rotating surface finish machines to deburr, descale, or surface finish metal components following shop procedure.
Plan proper grouping and positioning of items to assure surface treatment to specification, and efficient utilization of tank and rack capacity. Set immersion time and, if required, check and maintain solutions in tanks by making necessary tests and adding chemicals. Surface treat metal components by any one of the following processes involving a succession of baths or rinses: cleaning, pickling, etching, passivating or decreasing.
Check parts after processing to determine if surface operations meet process specifications.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold (non-weather) and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and work with explosives. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
