Description: We are currently seeking providers to give tutoring services to children, primarily in the area of English/language arts AND math. (Candidates must be fully comfortable with both subjects, and for the math component be able to provide instruction up to the high school Algebra level.) Candidates interested in this position must agree to adhere to the following commitments:Qualifications:Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Specialist will provide one on one tutoring services in the areas of English-language arts and mathematics to students who are at-risk for not meeting grade level performance; monitor and report student progress, and perform a variety of clerical duties related to tutoring services. Services may be provided any day of the week including weekends, however, candidates must be available approximately 15 hours/week, and services must occur during non-school hours, usually in the afternoons between 3:00 and 7:00 PM on weekdays. This program is state and federally funded. Billable hours may not be available during summer breaks unless otherwise indicated by the Program Manager. This is a part-time position with non-exempt status which requires a minimum of four days a week availability in the afternoons, or evenings and a minimum of a 4 month commitment.ServicesImplement lesson plans using the SRA curriculum and approved supplemental activities.Modify materials and explain instructions as needed.Document student progress and lessons completed after each session.Applicants must have an degree or 72 units toward college.For further consideration, please apply on-line today or send your resume to [email removed].
