Shepherd - Charlie - Medium - Young - Male - Dog
Charlie is a super-sweet affectionate friendly dog! His rescuer found him a month ago abandoned in a local park. Charlie has since been boarded at a vet where he he has been fully vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped. His rescuer visits him there as much as possible but it is still hard for Charlie to be boarded. After he was first rescued Charlie was understandably a little apprehensive but he is gradually coming out of his shell more and more, to the point where he licks his rescuers face excitedly every time he sees him. He is a superb kisser! Charlie has been great with other dogs and usually licks them when greeting them. He also seems to be the submissive type. He loves to go on walks and thinks he is a lap dog at 55lbs. He is so appreciative at having been rescued from the park, where someone who didnt want him left him to fend for himself, but he is still a little intimidated by men when he first meets them. He is a terrific and super sweet dog who really wants to belong to his own special someone and we know he will make a loyal companion to whoever is lucky enough to adopt him. The vet says he is approximately 18 months old. That said, Charlie is so smart and eager to please (not to mention very treat motivated) that he is a very quick learner! He has had some professional dog training and knows how to sit, come, stay and heel.
