Affenpinscher - Brutus - Small - Young - Male - Dog
Brutus is a 4 year old Brussels Griffon mix who was rescued just hours before he was set to leave this earth! This 12 pound guy is an independing dog who responds well to love and affection, although it appears that he has not received much of it in the past. He's very obedient and won't jump on the couch unless invited. He likes to
be near you, but he's perfectly happy playing with toys by himself. He's not really a snuggly dog that wants to lay with you for long - although he does like his belly scratched - he just wants you to play. He doesn't understand fetch, but he likes tug-of-war and chasing things as you drag them across the floor (he looks like a cat trying to catch them). He does not bark at people. He loves playing
with other dogs and I he'd probably be happiest in a home with a play buddy. Recently Brutus had a strange biting incident of his foster mom who was lying on the sofa watching TV not far from him and reached down to pet him when he lunged to bite her. We are not sure what the cause of the biting incident to this day and would like to attribute it to being taken off guard. Thanks to his incident he is stuck in a boarding facility in a cage.
