Metal manufacturing company seeks for Customer Service Representative.
The Customer Service Representative position is a direct report to the Customer Service Manager. The position is responsible for providing administrative support for the sales force and the receptionist. Customer Service is also responsible for quoting tin/lead accounts with predetermined pricing. Must be able to handle multiple duties simultaneously.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
The Customer Service group is responsible for providing administrative support for sales and marketing as defined below.
Customer service as follows:
Provide primary back up switchboard assistance on a daily basis.
Responsible for sales/customer service to identified accounts - tin and lead group
Filing sales orders
Faxing of certifications
Fulfillment of Sales Logic literature requests
Expediting a shipment
Marketing support - mail customer correspondence and give away items, i.e. pens, mugs, and post-it notes
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. The position will, however, occasionally act in a supervisory capacity when coordinating the efforts of multiple individuals in the interest of executing a campaign or resolving a customer issue.

Requires strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact face-to-face internally and via e-mail or telephone with external customers. Additionally, requires the ability to effectively communicate findings and other relevant data to upper management.
Requires strong math skills. Requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, percentages, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
Requires the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions/resolutions.
Requires computer skills. Requires the use of common computer programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint to create hard and soft copy communications and presentations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with at least two years experience in metals industry or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within metals industry and position.
