Job Title: Statistical Process Control CoordinatorDuration: 3-6 months Temp-to-PermLocation: Valencia, CAPay Rate: Commensurate to Experience Summary:Our client, a manufacturer of superior quality hydraulic, fuel, and pneumatic system components of all complexity levels, is in urgent need of an SPC Coordinator. This person will be responsible for growing and maintaining the company’s SPC program. This includes planning, creating and uploading inspection reports into our SPC database; training machinist, inspectors, and all other necessary personnel on usage of the SPC program; and identifying and implementing improvements in areas of need (sampling plans/failures, personnel involvement consistency, etc.). It is also the SPC Coordinator’s responsibility to prepare, update, maintain, review processes for Statistical Process Control requirements, and perform statistical analysis using SPC database and software. This position works closely with Manufacturing and Engineering, aiding in control methods development. The ideal candidate must have working knowledge of SPC methodology and software and the ability to participate in various Lean Six Sigma initiatives. Job Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other tasks and duties may be required as directed):Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods using knowledge of SPC methods, product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.Conceive and develop valid manufacturing solutions and processes through the application of professionally accepted engineering techniques, practices, and procedures.Ensure that all related procedures and processes conform to company and/or contract requirements for quality and performance.Work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering, aiding in control methods and developmentCompile and evaluate manufacturing data against product conformance standards and specifications.Prepare, update, maintain, review processes for Statistical Process Control requirements, and perform statistical analysis using SPC database and software.Analyze, evaluate, and recommend improvements using SPC data to meet design and quality needs.Review engineering drawings, procedures, and change orders that affect the SPC data collection process and analysis.Work closely with other departments on multi-discipline projects in a self-directed team environment.Ensure the tools are provided, training is conducted and the SPC process in launched and utilized, as required.Qualification Requirements:Education/Experience· Associate’s Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills· Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. · Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. · Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.Math Skills· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. · Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Skills· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. · Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.· Computer/ Office/Technical Skills· Basic windows/internet browser· ERP/Inventory· Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power Point· Good typing skills· AS9100 We look forward to working with you!
