The Illumination Foundation is currently seeking a full-time Site Assistant for our Recuperative Care Program in Santa Fe Springs. The role of this position is absolutely critical to assisting Illumination Foundation manage the discharge of homeless clients from hospitals.Job: Site Assistant. Shift hours are as needed, Monday thru Sunday between the hours of 7:30 am and 11:00 pm. $12.00 per hour.Facility Location: Santa Fe Springs, Ca. 90670Facility Type: Homeless shelter with dormitory setting for both men and women. Recuperative Care Program for homeless individuals being discharged from the hospital.Looking for hardworking, outgoing individual who is understanding of the plight of the homeless. Someone who is willing to assist and help our homeless Clients with everyday living needs.We are seeking a full-time Facilities/Client Assistant for Homeless Shelter in Santa Fe Springs to become a part of our team! Responsibilities:Job responsibilities of the Site Assistant include but are not limited to:Facility housekeeping which includes, but are not limited to: laundry, dishes, mopping, sweeping, cleaning, dusting, maintaining and organizing of supply room, staff offices, and kitchen area.All dorm room housekeeping duties which include but are not limited to: wiping down, cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, vacuuming and mopping and changing bed sheets in client dorm areas.All Restroom Housekeeping duties which include but are not limited to: shower areas, toilets, and sinks.Maintain an orderly file room, putting files away and other clerical duties.Sort stored items left behind by Clients, disposing of items after thirty (30) days past exit.Assist in providing three (3) meals per day to clients.Ensuring site has all necessary supplies to run program, including food, prescriptions, hygiene items, medical supplies, clothing, etc.Transporting clients to and from medical and/or social service agencies using company vehicleAssisting clients with activities of daily living when needed.Conduct basic intake upon client arrival.Enforce program rules and regulationsQualifications:High School Graduate.Ability to build rapport with clientsAbility to multitask and prioritize assigned taskExcellent written and verbal communication skillsClean Driving Record.Current Active Drivers LicensesBackground in first aid, a plus, but not requiredPrevious experience working with homeless, a plus, but not requiredBi-lingual, a plus, but not required.
