We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to become a part of our team! You will perform necessary work to keep machines, mechanical equipment, and structure of an establishment in repair.Roles and Responsibilities The Maintenance Manager leads the Maintenance Team in ensuring the proper working order of all mechanical operations at each location including, but not limited to, trouble shooting, proactive maintenance and repair of plant equipment to achieve maximum levels of quality and production while minimizing downtime.Manage the maintenance department and its employees on a day to day basis; personnel includes mechanics, mechanic helper, electricians, coordinator and clerkDirect additional contract mechanics, electricians and clerical personnelManage outside contractors doing work for the companyOversee the maintenance computer system and the preventative maintenance programManage small and large capital improvement projects for equipment and facilitiesAssume responsibility for and set the overall direction and goals of the maintenance departmentManage and assist in preparing annual budgets for the maintenance departmentInterview, hire, and evaluate all maintenance department personnelRepair major and minor issues with equipment and buildingsComplete maintenance and repair work orders, in a timely fashionOrder and replace broken parts or equipmentMaintain a clean and a safe work spacePerform other duties, as assigned Qualifications and Education RequirementsBS or equivalent engineering degree from an accredited University, plus experienceMinimum of 5 years experience managing and/or directing a maintenance operationMinimum of 5 years previous trade and craft experience either as a mechanic or electricianExperience with budgeting and managing the financial aspects of a maintenance departmentExperience in a manufacturing environmentSolid computer skills, including Word, Excel, OutlookDemonstrated sense of urgency and comfort working in a fast paced environmentAbility to work independently and with a teamSolid problem solving and decision making skillsAbility to move/lift 50 lbs various times, basic math and reading skillsWillingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 business operating through most weekends and holidaysSuccessful completion of a post offer physical, drug screen and background check is requiredMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background checkMust have background in PLC programmingPrevious experience in maintenance or other related fieldsFamiliarity with hand-held tools and equipmentDeadline and detail-orientedAbility to handle physical workloadOther Duties and ResponsibilitiesCompliance to GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers and/or government legislation, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found.Compliance to all employee job safety requirements and regulations as required by company policies, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found.Torn & Glasser offers competitive benefits including health insurance for full-time employees.
