1.0 JOB SUMMARY1.1 Paint Operator—Level 2 prepares parts for paint application and assures the integrity of incoming parts. Paint Operator-Level 2 follows traveler instructions and makes the appropriate paint mixture. Paint Operator—Level 2 applies prime paint to the parts. Paint Operator--Level 2 documents all the performed operations. 2.0 PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES2.1 Follow instructions from Supervisor pertaining to specific processes or tasks.2.2 Assure integrity of incoming parts (damage, scratches, anodize peeling, etc).2.3 Perform any required pre-treatment tests.2.4 Rack parts for paint application.2.5 Follow the traveler to prepare paint mixture and perform the necessary checks (viscosity, induction time, elapse time, etc). 2.6 Apply prime paint to parts.2.7 Document all the performed operations (on the traveler, charts, etc). 2.8 Package processed parts.2.9 Maintain clean work environment.2.10 Perform other duties as required.3.0 PHYSICAL / NON-PHYSICAL DEMANDS3.1 Lift parts, tools, and equipment.3.2 Work non-traditional hours, such as overtime, weekends and holidays.4.0 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES4.1 Knowledge of Coast Plating Quality Management System.4.2 Basic understanding of blueprints and engineering drawings.4.3 Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.5.0 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE5.1 High school diploma or equivalent.5.2 At least 1 year experience of prime application.
