eMac Table w/Bluetooth!
The Apple eMac computer was an amazingly advanced computer when it was originally launched and, like many Macs, is a classic design icon, but as a computer it's now sadly well beyond offering any useful functionality, and it was discontinued from production by Apple on July 5, 2006. So, the eMac has become a vintage item and one day will be a real collector’s piece.
Now it’s time to give one of these amazing eMac’s a second useful purpose. Not only does this classically designed computer make a wonderful coffee table, end table, or conversation piece, but the internal circuitry has been modified with Bluetooth technology so that you can play your favorite music, podcasts, or any other sound files that you desire. Just make the Bluetooth connection with your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch or other Smart device and your listening pleasure begins. Alternatively, you may plug in your favorite player device such as an iPod or MP3 player directly into a port on the side of the unit. The table top is 24” in diameter of 3/8” tempered glass finished with a decorative Ogee edge. The table base (eMac) measures 16” wide by 15” deep by 16 ¾” high with the glass top in place.
This Apple eMac has been specially cleaned to return the enclosure to as close to original condition as possible given that it had moderate use in an institution such as a school or college.
This custom built table is perfect for a reception area, design studio, music studio, or something very different for your home or home office. It also would make a very interesting gift for your hard-to-buy-for friends.
