I'm selling my original 1964 Joseph Henry Lynch "Tina" framed print, overall measurements are 27" tall & 23 1/2" wide. It was sold here in the US by Turner as #1859 L461 TAHITIAN BEAUTY, by collectors know the real title by Lynch is "Tina", his most famous work. This work can be seen on page 73 of the book "Just Above The Mantelpiece, Mass-Marketed Masterpieces by Wayne Hemingway, which I have a copy of. The print was made with super fine lines running vertically & attached to a thin board backing, it is surrounded by a fabric material on the wood frame. It has 2 flaws, mainly a small 1 1/2" area on the far left middle edge were the print is slightly lifting off the backing & a bigger 6" one on the lower right edge area. They've never been noticeable to me in all the years I've had this mainly because I've had it in a dark area. I believe this could be fixed by someone knowledgeable. There are a couple of long, thin rub marks that are minor. Originals like this are very rare in the US, go on Ebay & you will not find an original of any of Lynch's work in current or completed auctions. I'm asking $150. I'm in Sunland, 15 minutes North of the Burbank Airport off the 210 Freeway, I'm available most days or early evenings.
Joseph Henry Lynch (28 October 1911 -- 16 January 1989) was a British artist, better known under his signature J.H. Lynch. His mass reproduced paintings of sultry women, especially Tina (1964) make him one of the protagonists of Mass Market Art. Nymph, Autumn Leaves and Woodland Goddess are some of his best known works, some of which are shown in the movie "A Clockwork Orange" by Stanley Kubrick and also on the cover of one of Edwyn Collins' singles................................................................................................................................................................................................
