Hi! I’m Pangur Ban (pronounced Bon). I’m a handsome 3 years old with a pure white coat and stunning eyes (one blue, one green). I am very athletic and love to be up in high places. I also really like to play with those little furry toys my human throws for me to fetch. I have been living with my current family since April 2011, but there is a dominant female cat that doesn't want me here. She is deaf so she doesn’t hear me when I’m trying to tell her I just want to be friends. I love to be the center of attention and would prefer to be an only cat. My namesake belonged to an Irish monk who was an Illuminator in the 9th Century. Rescue dogs are cared for in foster homes while they await adoption. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please contact the listed volunteer to schedule a time.
Rescue cats are available for adoption at PetSmart in Newbury Park, CA (2685 W. Hillcrest Drive; Wendy Drive exit from the 101 freeway). Store hours: Monday-Saturday 9am-9pm, Sunday 10am-6pm. Adoption events are held Saturdays 11am-3pm.
Some cats are also in foster care, so you may contact CPAadoptions @ gmail.com to find out where the animal is located and schedule a meeting.
All pets are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoptions.
Local adoptions only; no out of state adoptions. Prospective pet parents must complete an adoption application and be approved (application available online at http://www.concernedpeopleforanimals.org/Adoption.html <http://www.concernedpeopleforanimals.org/adoptions.html> .) Dog/puppy adoptions require a yard inspection.
The adoption fee is $150 for dogs and $120 for cats, which helps cover the cost of spaying or neutering, vaccinations, medical care and tests, flea control and de-worming, microchipping, and the care of the animals for as long as it takes to find a new home.
Concerned People for Animals is an all volunteer, non-profit organization. Our goal is to eliminate the euthanasia of healthy pets through spay/neuter assistance and animal rescue/adoption.
