RILEY – black longhair, male neuter, born August, 2010
Riley was brought to the Shelter in June, 2012. He is an extremely friendly cat and was housed in a lobby cage to garner attention. He made the mistake of giving a “love nip” to a woman, who yanked her hand away from him, causing a scratch. Riley was erroneously branded “a biter” and was quarantined for 21 days! He was then confined to the back room, where the public could not see him. The Shelter rules that once a cat draws blood, he is only permitted to be rescued by a rescue group – he is not allowed to go to the general public.
Riley spent 4 months at that shelter before Felines & Friends found out about him. We immediately brought him into the group and he is a welcome addition. He gets along beautifully with other cats and loves people. He is slightly hesitant at first – understandable after such a long time on “death row.” But once you talk to him and offer a pat and some love, he warms up right away.
Riley is a beautiful boy who deserves a wonderful home. Won’t you consider opening your heart to this fabulous guy?
