Description:
Lab Support is seeking a QA Associate to work at a Food and Supplement Company in the San Fernando Valley. Exciting business and great working enviroment. Qualified candidates will have a B.S. in Microbiology, Biology or related and industry experience with QA and Documentation roles such as data entry and revision to SOPs.

Essential Functions:
Coordinate compliance testing
Create schedule, work with QA to obtain samples, and assure that samples are sent out on time
Update formula files and maintain data in an organized fashion for easy retrieval and summarization
Track out-of-spec nutrients and communicate results to Management for corrective action
Coordinate documentation (SOPs, Forms, Test Methods) revisions, reviews, and approvals
Coordinates training documentation
Build and maintain a database (Excel, Access, etc) so that training data can be easily recalled and presented for auditing and other purposes
Catalog discrepancy reports, maintain summary log, and track corrective actions

Experience Required:
B.S. in Microbiology, Biology or Related
2+ years in a data handling and quality assurance
Excel and/or Access database highly desirable
Lab knowledge desirable
1 year handling standard operating procedures in a GMP or HACCP environment desirable
Understanding of nutritional terms and nomenclature highly desirable
