The Packaging Lead is responsible for ensuring that the Packaging Production areas are performing to target in critical areas (safety, quality, productivity) and that completed finished products meet SOP, GMP and FDA regulatory compliance requirements. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited, to:Proficient on numerous machines/areas while meeting target production numbers with no Quality or Safety infractions.Process expert on select equipment and have advanced level troubleshooting skills.Key liaison on new product R&D.Lead Department training of all operators with a focus on Safety, Quality and Productivity.Setup, Operate and Clean Equipment.May perform routine maintenance on equipment.Monitor product quality and completing any/all necessary paperwork including batch records, training records, equipment logs, inspections, audits.Conduct daily pre-shift meetings which may include Flex-n-Stretch activities.Support training for all Packaging employees. Support other departments as needed.Perform Inventory / Cycle Count activities as needed.Assist delivering SOP training.Communicates with prior/next shift team to ensure flow of information / work is uninterrupted.In the absence of the Supervisor, coordinates the manufacturing daily work schedule to meet production requirements (Packaging and/or Powder).
