Samuel Staples was born and raised in Longview, Washington. He had the unique opportunity to enjoy illustrating all his life and carried that love to the Art Institute of Seattle, Washington, majoring in film and video production, with concentrations in story-boarding and conceptual art. His true
passion and destiny, however: comics. Staples creativity is comprised of an eclectic tapestry ranging from the "Batman" comics of his youth, to the Terminator action movies and Street Fighter video games of his adolescence, and now, adulthood - life. Samuel tuned his lifelong passion for comics
and "pop art" into a profession, honing his skills in both traditional mediums and digital art-forms. Professionals who contracted Staples for story-boarding, noted that his art exudes a grit and sexuality liken to the noir films of "old Hollywood." Now residing in Los Angeles, California, Staples
partakes in several annual art shows and is also developing his own graphic novel. Samuel is available for commissions and contract work for comic books/graphic novels, storyboards and character design.
