A company is seeking a Bilingual Japanese/English Quality Assurance Engineer to coordinate, and implement quality planning & problem solving activities to support program launch and production consistent with established standards and customer requirements. Candidate must speak, read, and write Japanese and have a four year college degree or equivalent in a technical field such as Quality or Engineering. -Performs product quality analysis of customer and internal reported concerns to determine failure mode, potential root cause(s) and appropriate interim and permanent corrective actions.
-Provides direction to internal/external departments regarding initial containment and product verification activities.
-Reports problem resolution status, updates and tracking in both internal and external (on line) problem reporting systems.
-Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during customer build activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
-Supports and/or maintains quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.
-Performs specific duties for Area Of Concentration as outlined below
-Travel may be required to national and/or international locations.
-Must be able to speak, read, and write Japanese.
- Four-year college degree or equivalent in a technical field such as Quality or Engineering.
- Must have QA experience in an automotive related industry.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
-Ability to read, analyze, and interpret automotive APQP documents.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. SPC and Six Sigma desirable.
-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations related to duties. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
-Must have knowledge and proficiency in Word Processing software, Spreadsheet software and databases. (Require MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power point, Prefer SQL, etc)
-Certification in quality disciplines a plus (e.g. CQE, CQA, CRE via ASQ)
Compensation: $60-70k, Exempt, With excellent benefits including 401K
