The Panavision Rapid Response Engineering Team (R2E) is an Agile co-located, cross-discipline, cross-functional group of people who put their creative and technical chops to the test every day. R2E delivers innovative and engaging solutions for both our external and internal clients frequently, with style, under pressure and to strict deadlines. You will be responsible for the design, documentation and development of electronic components to augment new rapidly deployed camera accessories and related accessory modules.Key Responsibilities:You will collaboratively plan, design and implement electronic solutions with a simple to moderate degree of complexity to augment assigned system components under development.Work from predefined product features and design documentation for the assigned system components.Organize, review and/or release supporting documentation as required.Communicate collaboratively with other members of the development team to ensure effective testing and implementation of electronic assemblies within the context of the deliverable.Design circuit boards that include digital and analog circuits for a wide range of custom applications from power switching, monitoring, video, audio, and control interfaces.Perform schematic capture in OrCAD or other industry-standard design packages.Implement debug features in your designs to shorten PCB development time.Work actively and collaboratively with the PCB layout team to do board bring up and correction.Recommend improvements to your assigned portion of system components.Be compatible with and a reliable member of our CD/CI development environment.As the sole Electronics Developer on a cross-functional team you will successfully and consistently deliver cutting edge results rapidly and assist your team mates to do the same.Work with the team to reduce and mitigate EMI, RFI from your designs.Perform all duties and responsibilities according to Panavision Rapid Engineering Procedures and Policies.Additional duties as assignedSkills/Experience Required:Must have:Working knowledge of OrCAD or similar development tools.BSEE or ELT / ETAC of ABET Certified diploma/degree preferred.Working knowledge of discrete logic design (glue logic).Working knowledge of embedded software/hardware control.Working knowledge of Analog / DSP design.Working knowledge of Microcontrollers including ARM, PSoC / Cypress development solutions.Preferred: Experience developing solutions using Arduino, Atmel, Analog Devices and/or Maxim components.Knowledge of peripheral interfaces; USB, I2C, SPI, Storage and high speed serial I/Fs.Knowledge of industry standard protocols; PCI Express, USB, Ethernet, etc.Knowledge of analog and digital video and audio ITU/SMPTE standards including HDSDI and Pro Audio.Camera related knowledge developing with MIPIExperience developing Human / Machine interface solutions.Experience developing mixed signal DSP solutions.Experience developing low-voltage power management solutions.Experience developing fiber optic solutions.Experience developing motor control solutions.Knowledge of BTLE and NFC communications, applications, modules and solutions.Knowledge of RFID technology.Knowledge of IOT technology.Experience working with small to medium scale FPGA / Xilinx components a plus.Physical Requirements:Must be able to work to regularly sit at a computer work station.Must be able to occasionally walk or stand for periods of time.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Please submit resume in PDF format.Portfolio of example products worked on in a team environment welcomed with resume.
