ANTIQUE/VINTAGE BOSS OVEN MADE BY THE HUENEFELD COMPANY IN THE 1920'S
THESE WERE MADE TO SIT ON TOP OF A KEROSENE OR OIL BURNING RANGE
IT IS RED, HAS A HANDLE ON TOP TO CARRY IT, GLASS FRONT ON DOOR AND OPEN BOTTOM - HAS A KNOB TO TURN TO OPEN GLASS FRONT AND TO KEEP IT CLOSED - MEASURES12 X 10 1/2 X 11 1/2
GLASS IS INTACT NO CRACKS OR CHIPS - ITEM HAS SURFACE RUST SPOTS AND SOME WEAR- SEE PICS--FOR ITS AGE IT IS IN GOOD CONDITION

Ernst Henry Huenefeld
Manufacturer, Inventor. A native of Prussia, he was born at Ladbergen in Westphalia. Huenefeld emigrated to the United States and settled near Cincinnati, Ohio. Soon after the Civil War, he and his partner, John H. Schroer, went into business together importing and selling tin plates and related machinery. He established the Huenefeld Company in 1872 and manufactured several household items including ranges, ovens, heaters, furnaces, refrigerators, and washing machines. Huenefeld claimed a technological breakthrough in 1909 when he designed the first successful glass door oven.
