A company is seeking a Bilingual Japanese/English Senior Accountant with 5 years of related experience. Candidate must speak, read, and write Japanese and must be able to use Great Plain accounting software system. This is a Full Time position, Exempt, with excellent benefits including 401k. Duties:
-Supervise an Accountant and responsible for the timely and accurate processing of vendor documents.
-Prepare journal entries and reconcile the general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
-Prepare supporting documents for monthly financial statements.
-Process new vendor accounts.
-Review Accounts Payable batches prepared by the accountant
-Review purchase order accounts for accurate posting in General Ledger.
-Regularly update non-inventory related purchase orders.
-Prepare and review Royalty Statements to Licensors and Developers
-Perform daily bank reconciliation.
-Issue invoices and keeps track of outstanding invoices for related company transactions.
-Maintain fixed asset schedule and any necessary paperwork.
-Assist Accounting Manager in audit preparation. Prepares various statistical and financial reports
-Performs other duties as assigned or requested
Skills:
-Must speak, read, and write Japanese
-Four year college Degree is required
-Five (5) years of related experience
-Computer literate, Lotus, Excel, Word, Word Perfect, and Great Plain.
-Understanding of accounting and accounting procedures
-General ledger and Journal entries
-Excellent negotiation skills.
-Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Compensation: $55k-$70k/year, Exempt, with excellent benefits including 401k
