PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT - to $60K - HOLLYWOOD
We are looking to add a Payroll Accountant/Payroll Analyst to our Human Resource Department in our Hollywood, California location. A successful candidate will have to demonstrate strong self-organization and management skills with proactive initiation and follow through on a broad range of actions. This position will contribute to the successful delivery of accurate, timely accounting activities to support the Human Resources accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include payroll processing, including inputting/reviewing payroll data, withholdings/benefits, maintaining vacation/sick accruals, distribution of payroll reports
Prepare all payroll related accounting entries.
Prepare and maintain inter-company billing for submission to accounting.
Responsible for reconciliation and accuracy of one or more accounts with in a complex accounting System
Perform internal audits of various payroll areas and prepare materials for external auditors
Assist in monthly foreign payroll processing
Contribute to the successful completion of daily, monthly-end close, quarterly and annual close processes in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare various Accounting documents, schedules, exhibits and summaries
Main contact with outside auditors for the year end 401K audit
Requirements:
3+ years experience in payroll / accounting / human resources
Minimum BS/BA in Accounting
Understanding of payroll and benefits accounting
Experience with general ledger and close processes, trial balance reviews, reconciliations, journal entry processing and analytical review
Experienced with automated accounting systems - Oracle and ADP general ledger systems a plus
Highly organized and detail oriented
Ability to effectively prioritize concurrent deliverables and deadlines.
Exceptional follow through and attention to details.
