Assistant Payroll Manager - Los Angeles Mid-Wilshire - salary to $65,000
This position works closely with the HRIS Administrator in identifying needs for system revisions, formulating system requests and recommendations. Creating and modifying Cognos 8 reports.
Provide back-up for Payroll Manager with payroll processes as needed.
Performs a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities, including computing wage and overtime payments, calculating and recording payroll deduction’s (court orders and subpoenas). Manage company unemployment via 3rd party administrator. Manage E-verify record keeping.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical reports, financial reports and legal documents; respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Proficient with the following:
Word Processing Software
Human Resource System
Congnos 8 Experience is preferred
Fifth year College or University program certificate; or 2 to 5 years specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job; or equivalent combination of education and experience
