Glendora Employment Agency, Inc. specializes in bringing local job seekers together with local employers. We are currently seeking a Certified Payroll Specialist. Job Description:Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Collecting and recording weekly certified payroll reports from the home office for employees and from subcontractors working on heavy/civil construction projects.Reviewing and approving subcontractor documents including certified payroll, apprentice records, monthly employment utilization reports and union benefit reports.Responsible for onboarding new subcontractors and ensuring they understand the steps to complete their certified payroll submittals which include numerous one-time documents that are required. This includes emails and phone calls with subcontractors with varying levels of computer skills.Running monthly reports and submitting to management for tracking of labor hours on the project.Processing New Hire Package for direct hires for all craft/union personnel that are hired on the project. Uploading the package to home office and ensuring forms are filled out correctly (I-9 etc).Notifying management when a subcontractor is significantly behind in reporting.Uploading company certified payroll to DIR website and tracking the subcontractors that have also met this state requirement. Minimum Qualifications:To be considered for this position, candidate must possess the following skills demonstrated through previous work experience. · Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Certified Payroll· Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required· Strong verbal and written communication skills· Advanced MS Office skills· Accurate data entry and 10-key skills required· Construction background desirable· Typing of 50+ WPM required
