This position reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for performing the duties described, in an effective and efficient manner.Job RequirementsMaintain all Accounts PayableReview and enter accounts payable invoicesCode invoices to the appropriate company and general ledger accounts based on the budget to ensure accurate and timely submission of invoicesReconcile accounts payable to the general ledgerInsure all required invoice backup and authorization is attainedResolve all vendor payment issuesPrepare weekly payment approval reportsPrepare weekly check runs, issue and mail checksEnsure completeness of invoice/payment packageEnsure timely payment and follow up of all open invoicesReconcile balance sheet accounts monthlyAssist with monthly closing and posting of month end informationAnalysis, Reporting, Tax Filing, and Other DutiesAnalyze accounts payable transactionsPrepare and provide support during annual interim and year-end auditsAssist with the preparation of all federal, state and county tax and regulatory filings including forms 990, 1099s, sales tax returns, etc.Assist with other projects and assignments as requestedQualificationsCritical AttributesAt least1 to 2 years of experience in accounting/accounts payableMust be self-motivated and possess the ability to execute with minimal directionAbility to prioritize, handle multiple tasks/projects, juggle changing deadlines, provide structure to team, and meet deadlines.Ability to solve problems, while prioritizing project needsProfessional SkillsEffective and excellent communication, written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.Outstanding organization skills, strong listening skills, and attention to detail.Strong time management abilitiesMaintain confidentiality of work-related information and materials.Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and ten-key touchPreferredBachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance preferred.Fluency in speaking and writing Spanish, a plus.Other CriteriaThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
