We are seeking a Sr. Manager of Technical Accounting in our Corporate Accounting department to perform certain day-to-day technical accounting functions for the organization.
We are seeking a Corporate Accounting Manger to oversee the day-to-day accounting, month-end close and forecasting functions of the Corporate accounting departments.
Oversight of month-end close process for Corporate accounting departments including review of balance sheet rollforwards and account analysis.
Record monthly payroll entries for consolidated payroll groups. Includes distribution of payroll reports to division finance heads.
Maintenance of ADP GL mapping.
Review and approval of bank reconciliations.
Review and approval of accounts payable invoices.
Review and approval of journal entries.
Preparation of quarterly analysis of insurance reserves.
Preparation of budget including inputs into budgeting/forecasting system and preparation of budget analysis package.
Entry of forecast updates and completion of monthly forecast package. Includes communication with department heads of needed forecast adjustments.
Completion of monthly variance analysis of actual results versus forecast, budget and prior year.
Oversight of centralized fixed asset process for North America and Canada.
Assist internal reporting group with consolidation process.
Supervision of Corporate Accounting staff (four direct reports and three indirect reports).
Provide other recurring and ad hoc analysis as may be required by management.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
CPA certification a plus.
Five to eight years accounting experience with at least 2 recent years of month-end close cycle experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organization skills.
Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word and Excel) needed.
